Katherine goes to the police to report that Adam has been kidnapped, but when the cop taking her statement turns out to be a friend of Wayne’s, she realizes that they will not be of help and rushes home to pack and leave town with Dylan. However, Dylan is not willing to go, and demands her mother to tell her the truth, which she does. Dylan does not react well to the news and runs away.
Katherine tells Bree she is not able to help out with the catering for Bob and Lee’s commitment ceremony, leaving Bree on the hook to manage the whole affair herself. Bree enlists the help of her friends to ensure the event runs to perfection.
Lynette has been Lynette has been walking on eggshells since Kayla went to live with her grandparents and wants to know when Tom's going to stop being angry with her. He insists he's not mad at her, but at the situation.
Bob and Lee meet up with Bree and Lynette at the pizzeria. Where they argue over the type of ice sculpture they will have at the ceremony. Tom urges Lee to take a stand on the ice sculpture or he will be caving in on every issue the rest of their lives.
Bree goes to pick up the ice sculpture herself, but loses cell phone coverage and then her tire blows out. The ice sculpture starts to melt, so she uses a baby carriage to wheel it to the ceremony. Orson miraculously shows up to give her a ride. She's grateful, but says she still won't take him back, unless he turns himself into the police, as she'd originally asked. He says he just can't because he wouldn't survive it.
When Lee sees the ice sculpture is not the one he wanted, he announces that the ceremony is off. Lynette and Tom go to talk sense into the couple. Tom surprises Lynette with his speech on sticking together through the “big stuff”! Bob and Lee agree to go on with the ceremony, and Lynette kisses Tom, realizing he does still love her.
Carlos chews Gaby out for maxing out their credit cards, until they learn that Ellie has left behind a significant amount of money, stuffed into the back of a teddy bear. Ellie contacts Gaby about getting the bear back, when Gaby offers to split the money with her. Ellie will have nothing to do with that and warns she will throw acid in Gaby’s face if she doesn’t get her money back. Ellie returns to the house and the fight is on, as the two struggle over the bag of money.
Katherine returns home to find Wayne waiting for her. She runs for the gun, but Wayne shoves her aside, breaking her wrist, and grabs it. Katherine warns Wayne that he won't have an alibi if he kills her, but then Ellie runs into Katherine's house. She grabs a knife when she sees Wayne, but he shoots her with Katherine's gun. He now has the alibi he needs.
Bree is incensed when she learns Katherine never left town, and storms over to speak with her about it. Bree is dragged into the house and becomes Wayne’s second hostage. He uses Bree as a bargaining chip to get the truth out of Katherine.

Katherine, not wanting any harm to come to Bree, reluctantly reveals the truth about Dylan to Wayne. Meanwhile Adam has escaped and is on his way to save Katherine. Adam storms in and struggles with Wayne over the gun. The gun goes off, and Wayne is wounded, lying on the floor. He continues to threaten Katherine – telling her it is not over. Katherine, knows only one way to end the torment and shoots Wayne dead.
When the police arrive, Katherine refuses to say anything, but Bree tells the police that Katherine shot Wayne in self-defense.
Fast forward, to five years later: Katherine is now an intrinsic part of the weekly poker game and all other aspects of life on Wisteria Lane. Orson and Bree are back together. Lynette’s kids are older and in trouble with the law, Gaby’s now a mother, and Susan is now with another man – Mike is no longer in the picture!
